A.C. Legg - Maple Breakfast Sausage, 2 Packs - 10 Ounce each

We love this brand. They make great sausage and helps us make great sausage. We do not however ascribe to the theory that the bag will season perfectly 25 pounds of meat. We cut it back to 15 pounds and you can actually taste the seasonings more and this makes it a very good sausage. No one has complained that our sausage is overly seasoned. Super easy to use, we don't find it extra salty or overly seasoned, the cost is pretty good when you consider how many spices you have to purchase and maintain for sausage making, and there is no real "heat" to this, but that doesn't mean you can't add some.

Mixed up sausage mixture according to recipe. It seemed a little salty with it lacking Maple taste, but everyone's taste preference is a little different. To fix I added a little more meat and some maple flavoring. Turned out awesome! With any sausage mixture I always taste test a little before packaging. Different meat and proportions can change flavoring dramatically. I will definitely use again!

Leggs seasoning is good stuff been using their sausage flavorings for many years. This was the fist time using the maple flavor. Found it a little lacking on spicyness for my taste. When I use it again I’ll “doctor” it up a little bit for my taste. 😜

Original Leggs Seasoning, love the maple version

We absolutely love this seasoning. Every time we butcher a hog, we use it. The maple flavor is so good. We won't use any other brand. We are trying the mild Italian seasoning this time too. We know it will be just as good.

I'm not a fan. The flavor is weak and unsatisfying. I will either give it away or throw it away. The other mixes I tried (Sausage blend 10 and chorizo) were much better.
