Looks like a very warm, durable, good looking jacket so I feel bad giving it such a poor rating but there isn’t a slit/ hole for the leash so it’s completely useless to me and my pup. I don’t understand why this feature wasn’t mentioned in more reviews especially those touting outstanding attention to detail. IMHO this feature isn’t a “detail,” it’s a necessity. To give a heads up to others who feel the same my rating is zero stars :-/

Great dog jacket for cold weather! It's been below freezing many days in Brooklyn this winter and my pup has been happy to have this coat!Two things to note:1. As other reviewers have stated, it runs a bit small. My 12 lb dachshund is a Small in most dog clothes, but the Medium fit him perfectly. I wanted a little longer length for coverage too - but don't worry, the chest portion is just the right length so he can comfortably pee without wetting the jacket.2. The red is a little more deep orange than true red (see pics). I actually prefer this color, but if you want red you might be disappointed.

I bought this hoodie in XL for the upcoming winter months and as a special something for Bari to wear for this photoshoot (he's the pictured Bassador - half basset hound half labrador)! The seller photo for beige looks more mint green but it's actually tan! Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and think it's absolutely adorable. The hood fits our dog and can be taken off and there's also a functional pocket on the back of the jacket you could put little treats in if you feel the need~! <3

The media could not be loaded.  Really cute, well-made jacket. Removable hood. Got lots of compliments.I ordered the XS for my 4.6 pound chihuahua. It fits her well! She struggled to walk in it at first due to the long sleeves. When I rolled up the sleeves, the problem was solved! Hood stayed on too, even in snowy and windy conditions. See the video :)

I ordered a size large for my 12lb, 14" long fur baby and it fit perfectly! Looks more orange than red but is still very cute! My dog was stumbling at first but then was walking normal as he adjusted to it within a few minutes.

We’ve bought coats in the past and none fit right. We measured our dog and matched his size to the guide. I was sure to read through reviews and we are THRILLED with this coat! I have a Miniature schnauzer that is 2 yrs old. He’s 13.5lbs and we chose a medium. It’s PERFECT. I’ve read people complain that there’s no hook for a leash, I’m not sure what they were expecting. We harness our dog first, then slip the coat on over the harness. The hood has snap buttons. Very simple, we unbutton one singular button, clip the leash to the hook on the harness underneath the coat, then button again. Again, simple, super secure and warm. My dog loves his coat and it keeps him warm when he insists on playing in the snow or going for walks late at night in below freezing temps!!! It’s water resistant, VERY warm and INCREDIBLY well made. Absolutely thrilled with this purchase and have recommended it to neighborhood friends. Don’t sleep on this one, it’s worth it. 😊

UPDATE:Our trip went great and my little dog was super warm the entire time. The temperature ranged from 10'-30'F with strong winds and snow and ice. The hood stayed up the entire time, even in the wind, and the water merely rolled off the coat. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!!!I purchased this coat in an XS to take my 5lbs Chihuahua to Eastern Europe in the winter. I'm super impressed with this little coat and am confident she will be warm while wearing it with a sweater underneath. We've already worn it around town and are stopped constantly to be told how adorable she looks! The fur on the hood is of excellent quality and my favorite thing is that the hood stays up keeping her little head warm! The arms of the coat cover her legs about halfway down and the length of the coat goes all the way to her tushy. The fabric is of high quality and appears to be water and wind resistant. The little pocket on the back is an actual functioning pocket. The only slight negatives are that the coat is a darker beige than shown in the picture and the neck area is a little snug. This is a great coat for the price!

While I sadly had to return this due to a poor fit, it is the best quality dog coat I've seen in a very long time. Awesome fabric, large, sturdy stainless steel snaps, great color, convenient pocket, and awesome fake fur around the hood. Customer service was top notch as well. A version without the built-in "pants" would be a great option for dogs with unusual shapes.
