Great slicer
We used it to slice mushrooms and other veggies. Very easy to use.

Does not work with Hard Cheddar Cheese
I bought this to make slicing hard cheese for crackers or sandwiches easier,It will not slice hard cheddar ,it almost always shreds it into small clumps,and when it does slice, it is very small slices with most of the slice just shredded or clumped pieces of cheese .It might work for softer cheese but as I have none at the moment I can't say.It appears to be well made of stainless steel

horrible design, china made the blade extend wrong direction.
only thing worse than this design is the wood handle model (handle interrupts the ability to even use the shaver!).. this item is trash and i returned it to buy the urbani wood model for twice the price.
