my son gets limited time xbox play so its usually in the living room while he get his hour and I'm around the same area cleaning up or playing with my younger son. But every once in a while on a weekend if he has had a good week at school I will allow him 3 hours on it in his room. this happens about twice a month and I started getting sick of unplugging everything and moving it all, so we got this extra one and I actually like it better than the one he has now. this one is quitter and just way easer to plug in and move around. so glad I got it and it makes xbox time easier in this house.

So I bought this because it had fairly good ratings, but it wasn't until after I ordered it that I realized most of the ratings were for the GameCube to switch controller adapter and not this controller. So it isn't a terrible third party controller for the price, the joysticks are actually a lot better than other third party controllers I've used, and the front buttons work well (a little stiff, but that's never really been a deal breaker for me). The only thing that really disappointed me were the trigger buttons. I tested the controller out on Mariokart, and the buttons always seemed to stop working halfway through a drift which was very frustrating. Now this was if I held them down for a period of time, it may be different if you are only pressing it once but I didn't try that out. Like I said, it isn't a terrible controller, it will work for a younger sibling or someone like that who wants to play along with you, but if you're into serious playing then I don't recommend this for your main controller.

It arrived on the 16th. I used it daily to play Smash Ultimate. It wasn't as good as a first party GameCube controller, the inputs on the analogue stick were a bit binary. I noticed small plastic shavings started to accumulate around the analogue stick. Then, on the 26th, the analogue stick broke so that it gives a left input even when I'm not touching it. I knew this would be a cheap controller, but I didn't expect it to break so quickly. Manufacturer advertises a one year warranty, but I can find no way to contact them for warranty support. Spend the extra money to get something higher quality.

Product works with the switch very well and am very happy i purchased this. I like the gamecube controller better than the pro controller so I am glad I have a way to keep using that. Just had to plug it into the front two usb ports on the switch and that was it.

There's really no point in buying the official Nintendo adapter. There is virtually no setup and this functions just as the official one would. Save your money and pick up this one instead. Also allowing GameCube controllers allows for a way cheaper method of multiplayer over buying joycons for each player.

I was skeptical about lag or disconnections but this adapter worked surprisingly good for me for Super Smash Bros Ultimate! I have the perfect setup with 4 Gamecube controllers connected to this adapter and 4 Nintendo Switch pro controllers. That makes for a perfect 8 player smash battle!

So this was the only prime eligible adapter for this price, but so far so good. Out of the box I have a couple of questions... there are 2 usb’s on this and only 1 port on the switch? Is that for PC compatability? Also not sure what the turbo button does or how I know whether it’s on or off. Played a couple matches online and it feels 9173839172 times better than Joy Con. A little input delay, but they may have been the connection. So far, I’m stoked on this!

the controller came with massive drift to the left. two minutes later the stick came out of the socket. A total waste of time and money.
