Mixed Bag
For light use the knife (I think), is fine. Although the blade may well be of 440c steel, I am of the mind-set that the tempering process left something to be desired. From the get-go, the sharpened edge had minute nicks it, which SEEMED to reoccur upon sharpening. I will only address sharpening from the point-of-view of a complete novice; however, given that caveat, I believe that it does not take a good edge readily, nor does it APPEAR keep it.My strongest concern with the purchase (and, the only thing that would keep me from buying it again, at this price), is the locking mechanism. Unless mine was factory flawed by error, this knife is a somewhat dangerous pocket carry: Twice it has opened-up and slightly stabbed me.

TERRIBLE WASTE OF MONEY
TERRIBLE WASTE OF MONEY. could be a decent knife, but the spring assist is shoddy at best. when opened by hand, the spring assist is not smooth and doesn't actuate consistently. biggest complaint is the safety concern of the blade partially opening when bumped up against something, or even kneeling the wrong way, when it is on a belt. the knife also opens instantly when placed on a hard surface from only 1/4" off that surface. I could possibly understand if dropped from an absurd height, but this actually opens (by the way, opens much faster and consistently than by hand) when set down from only a 1/4". unlocking the blade also is very difficult with one hand. this could just be ONE bad knife, but it is the first jelson product i have purchased and won't be getting another from this manufacturer.

Great knife, crappy belt clip screws.
I love the look and feel of the knife. I would have given a higher rating except for the fact that one of the screws holding the belt clip in was loose upon arrival. It even came off at one point and I was able to get it back on. However, after a few more days the screw came loose again and was lost. Luckily the belt clip has nothing to do with the performance of the knife, which I am happy with.

Disppointing
Nice blade, cheap everything else. The spring doesn't open it all the way, you have to manually open it. This makes it very dangerous of cutting yourself when you're first using it. I was disappointed in the action and the how the wood part isn't very nice.

Wood handle feels nice, spring assist works fine too
A very convenient little daily carry. Wood handle feels nice, spring assist works fine too. Blade is razor sharp and solid. There is a tiny bit of wobble when blade is open, would not use for heavy duty tasks, but otherwise well worth the low price. Clip is well placed so blade fits snugly in pocket and is invisible. All in all an excellent design.

Great knife, Great purchase
Amazingly well made knife. And it's pretty too. Can't believe they can manufacture, market, ship this beautiful knife for less than $10.

Beautiful knife
Beautiful knife. Unfortunately, the locking mechanism wasn't as strong as I would like as a gift for my elderly Dad so I returned it for a full refund. Great customer service, thank you.

Sharp
what I expected for the price. Biggest complaints is the finish is not the best on the handle parts. Also no safety device and the spring is very stiff. Opens easily in ur pocket or if u set it down roughly. Other than that it is good looking and sharp out of the box
