Cheap and effective moisture remover
What great cheap alternivate to the really expensive items out there. Great idea! Works a treat! This is worth every penny recommend it very much.

Great moisture traps
Used two in my conservatory which is floor to ceiling glass and always gets condensation at the bottom leaving black mold around the bottom cill when the weather turns cooler and during the winter, however, hardly any this year, so been really pleased.

Reasonably good moisture trap for small closed places
I suspect most dissatisfaction with these products occurs because folk have unrealistic expectations. These types of chemical based moisture absorbers aren't powered so don't draw air across the absorbing material. No matter what the advertising suggests, these aren't a cheap way to dehumidify large spaces such as rooms (even small ones) but are quite good at reducing high humidity in small, closed spaces such as wardrobes and cupboards. For it's size, this product was one of the cheapest of it's type I managed to find. It comes with 500g of absorbing chemical which can be replenished when exhausted with Kilrock Moisture Trap Refill. In my house, one fill lasted around 6 weeks before requiring a refill but then I've used it in a problem corner of a room rather than a small closed space. I'd expect it to last a bit longer in a small closed space as there probably wouldn't be so much moisture to remove. There is a very minor design flaw though. The vents/slots in the upper blue-coloured crystal containing section are a little too wide and allow some crystals to spill out during filling (or handling) onto the lip of the clear water capture tray. This wouldn't be an issue were it not for tiny fastening slits in the lip of the water capture tray which leads to an occasional bead of water running down the outside of the tray and onto whatever surface the trap is placed upon. Only happened a couple of times and not a problem for me but avoid placing on water sensitive surfaces.

Works exactly how I'd hoped
Bought this for my girlfriend's damp student digs room as it had mould on the wall. Seems to be working exactly as I'd hoped as it has 'caught' plenty of water in the bottom. Seems a good purchase!

Don't see much difference
I am disappointed in this product. I bought it to stop the condensation inside the car windows in the morning, but have seen very little difference.

helps with condensation
Bought this to try in my bedroom to help with condensation, it does take away alot of condensation but not all so it helps a bit but not brilliant.

Not as great as I thought...
I don't know what the difference is between my experience and others whose problems seem to be completely solved by these things.I have single glazed windows which have heavy condensation on them in the winter months. I have two of these on my bedroom window ledge and every morning I wake up to condensation literally dripping from the windows. I can see the crystals have soaked up moisture because they are now all stuck/mushed together, however it's done very little else. Also it's been over a week and I can't even see a single droplet of water captured in the bottom of the trap, you'd think with the amount of moisture around in my house there would be something there by now.Maybe it works better for double glazed windows, or very slight condensation problems. Looks like the only solution is either a good dehumidifier or to wipe the windows every morning.
