Addictive Fragrance
Fantastic scent: INeKE has quite the library of top-tier fragrances! I love the box design, too! At least 8-10 hours of performance on this one! Highly recommended! ๐

RE: Not Fracas
This is a pleasant fragrance that is not too loud as many gardenia fragrances are...If you love Fracas, you willnot be happy with this milder one...

For the Gardenia Lover
Hothouse Flower has top notes of Green Tea & Cypress, middle notes of Gardenia and Galbanum and bass notes of Guaiac Wood and Musk. On my wife's wrist, it has a first smell of something very clean & fresh, almost like fresh cut grass. The finishing smells are warm which must be the Gardenia and followed by the musk. She really REALLY likes this perfume. She keeps smelling her wrist; she inhales deeply and ends with a smile. Her only complaint is that it has low silliage, which means she need to reapply later on in the day.

Ahhh Gardenias!
I understand why Ineke spent so much time researching gardenias. The fragrance of gardenias is wonderful and not easy to bottle. However, in "Hothouse Flower" Ineke has excelled! Do not think since "Hothouse Flower" is a soliflore (single flower) it's a simple fragrance. On the contrary, like all the Ineke fragrances which I'm familiar, it is complex. And personally my experiences with her fragrances are evocative. Every time I wear them they "take me places". To steal from a Joan Baez song Ineke's fragrances evoke such memories . . . memories that tumble like sweets from a jar.Though my all time favorite Ineke fragrance is "Field Notes from Paris", "Hothouse Flower" is such a close second as to almost be tied for first place.I live in the South (USA) were gardenias are sometimes grown as hedges. In the heat of summer nights what a wondrous experience to stroll past such hedges. But these strolls are not only gardenia scented, along with the flowers come scents of humid air, nearby grass, and even the earthy smell of the mulch covered dirt where they live. These are much the same scents you pick up if you smell gardenias in a greenhouse. Ineke successfully manages to capture these scents as well in "Hothouse Flower".All in all Ineke's "Hothouse Flower" is an incredibly wonderful, complex, and sophisticated fragrance.
