Love these jar! Perfect for sourdough starter and meal prep
I absolutely love these Weck jars! I originally purchased them for my sourdough starter, but I’ve found them so versatile that I now use them for meal prepping overnight oats and yogurt as well. The glass is sturdy, and the jars keep everything fresh. They’re perfect for storing and organizing food in the fridge. The size is great, and they’re easy to clean—oven and dishwasher safe. When the lid fits well, it keeps everything sealed tightly. That said, there are a couple of minor downsides: The silicone rings can sometimes fall off or not fit perfectly, and the clamps can be a bit tricky to keep track of. But overall, these are small inconveniences compared to the quality of the product as a whole. If you’re looking for high-quality, durable, and multi-purpose jars, I highly recommend these Weck jars!

My Favorite Weck
I have an extensive Weck collection, but this .5 liter is my favorite overall. I use it for quick pickling like curtidos, and I have three in rotation for my sourdough starter. This 6-piece set enables me always to have a clean jar on hand. I sanitize them in the dishwasher and swap out my starter jar several times a week.

Great jars
Really good quality jars and you can use them for so many things! My only issue was the box they are shipping has NO padding or anything. Mine arrived and 3/6 were shattered. Amazon sent me another box but they should really work on this issue. There was glass everywhere when I opened the box and it was definitely a safety hazard.

Customer Service, it was terrible.
1. Product Performance, Material and Convenience: It was average. Neither exceptionally good nor particularly disappointing.2. Design: The finish was just okay, but I liked the strawberry pattern.3. Durability: It seems to be durable enough.4. Customer Service: It was terrible. The lid had a chip that almost caused an injury, and the process of exchanging it was extremely frustrating. It took a month from the start of my inquiry to receiving the replacement, and when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the system, their response was, "We're quite satisfied with our system. If you are not, then I would advise not ordering from our website or Amazon store in the future."The reason I expressed dissatisfaction with the system is that, from my perspective, after confirming there is an issue with the product, it would save time to create a form where I can fill in all the necessary information at once, rather than asking for details via email one by one. I believe there are more efficient ways to handle this process.I am generally accustomed to fast shipping from warehouses. Since you mentioned via email that the item had been shipped, I expected it to arrive within a few days. However, it didn't, and I had to ask again via email for the delivery date and the tracking number. They said they couldn't provide the tracking number due to their system limitations. (I asked for the tracking number because USPS shipments often get lost, and having the tracking number allows me to know when the item will arrive.) They then told me the expected arrival date of the two lids and to inform them if it did not arrive by that date.I was never informed that the shipping would take two weeks. So, when I asked why it was delayed and expressed my dissatisfaction with the system, I was told, "If you're unhappy, don't order from us," and then learned that the lid would take about two weeks to arrive from Illinois. (They could have informed me earlier.)While I did not expect deep empathy for my complaints, I did expect at least a minimal level of understanding, so this response was quite shocking. Finally, if you need to exchange a product or receive service for an issue, do not expect any empathy or understanding. Just follow their instructions, or you will be told not to buy from them anymore.
