Very riveting!!
This is one of the best novels I have read in a long time: The characters pull you into their world. Their pain. Their joy. Their love. And the sweeping, visionary mountain! It pulls you right along with it too. Very masterful storytelling!

too much repeat
Loved the story. I’ve been reading the series and the way the author fills in the prior books can take away fro the flow. I recommend reading the series and hope the author doesn’t continue to repeat from prior books.

Wow, what an amazing thought provoking GREAT READ! Wonderfully written with characters that come to
life and feel like friends! I wasn't ready for the book to end But what an ending! Sometimes wfeels like there really is no hope left at all in any shape or form! And sometimes even time passes by a bit! And then. SURPRISE! IT HAPPENS AFTERALL, WHEN LEAST EXPECTED!What am I talking about, you ask? Life and living on RED MOUNTAIN RISING! I'm already guessing that you read the info of what this book is about already! So I won't repeat that part! It was very hard to put down! The pages kept flying by, I skipped meals but did finally eat supper at 7pm. The story was so interesting that I was hooked and because the characters were so personable too! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!hen it

More of the moving saga of family and friends like family.
The cohesiveness of red mountain residents draws your heart in to know how they survive personal tragedies and surge in with support for each other.

Red Mountain Trilogy
I just loved these three books about a group of people living on Red Mountain. The characters were so well described that you thought you knew them personally and I liked all of them - even the grumpy and strange ones. The setting, the wine, the wine making: everything is vivid and enticing and you just wish you could be part of this group and join them in their endeavors. The story is compelling and contains some action and suspense but mostly it is about being human, about companionship, about nature, about hope and never giving up.

Great summer read!
I loved all 3 of these books...! They were delightful and perfect summer reading. Living north of Red Mountain in the Okanagan Valley gave me a great perspective in relating to the wine industry that is at the center of the novels. The characters are both colorful and relatable!

Great to catch up with the mountain
Oh my goodness! This was such a great second instalment on the lives of those who live on Red Mountain. It picks up around 7 months after the end of the last book.I don't want to do too many spoilers , so I will keep it brief. We get to catch up with all the characters from book one but are introduced to new ones. Adriana and her 6 year old son Zack , Remi, and the vile Mr Bellflour.Margot is still my favourite character as she is so relatable. Being middle-aged myself and single, I totally get her actions and feelings at times. She makes me laugh out loud but also sad, too. Otis is just fantastic, and his grumpiness but love for his mountain keeps you entertained.Brooks really had a pity party through most of the book, but I totally understood at times why he was so hurt, but I'm not saying why 🤐There is a strong story line of domestic abuse , but it was handled so sensitively and I could completely sympathise with the character who has been through it and the terror of having to flee and change your whole life. It was written with a fair bit of research I would have thought. If you want a tidy ending , you're not gonna get one, but I can't wait to dive into book 3 to see what happens in the end.
