Works great I think it is better then the # 13 ...
Works great I think it is better then the # 13 stuff. I also use it for my patch lube and have stoped swabing between shots, get 20 shots when target shooting.

Hoppe's was around when there was only corrosive ammo
This was recommended by my gunsmith for cleaning rifles after shooting corrosive primer ammo. As with all of Hoppe's products, it works as they advertise. I'm old school and just don't believe in running water or ammonia down the barrel to neutralize the salts. This leaves the bore bright and shinny and I follow it up with a oiled patch. Haven't had any rusting in any of my barrels.

cleans out the B.P. goop very well. not for metal fouling. seems like it's water based, so dry bore and oil. needs to have a spout.

The smell of this stuff means gun cleaning.
They have even comeout with and air freshener that has the smell in it. I guess I could just throw all my old cleaning patches in the back of the seat. It might make the truck explode but hey in the interest of driving light headed. Honest officer I just cleaned only one rifle tonight. not three.love this stuff.dray

its hoppe's. need you say more. I use this and their black powder solvent. Its really gentle on your skin, but its incredible at how much crap i get out of my barrel with stuff.
