This portable screen is great!
This portable screen is great! solid black back & plasticy surface resulted in a very reflective screen. even people sitting way off on the sides still had a great picture.putting it together was very straightforward, no directions needed other than the video I watched & reviews I read before purchase. It all just sort of unfolded & went together the only way it could. someone had posted a tip about snapping the screen on using every other snap 1st & then going back to do the others. this worked great & make getting the screen on but taunt very easy. when using the thumb screws to connect the legs to the frame, you have quite a few holes to choose from. if you look at my pics, I could have raised the screen about 1' or lowered it about 2'.taking it down & putting it back in the bag was very quick & easy.the only negative I can say is I already ripped the carry bag. each part is relatively light & easy to move around but when you have them all in the bag, it's pretty heavy. I made the mistake of trying to pick it up by the handle & it ripped right off the bag. I'm pretty disappointed but the bag is still mostly OK.

Top tier quality
I honestly didn’t know how big a 145” screen is until you have it up. Yes, I took the dimensions from the description and mocked it up but WOW! I love it. Downside is it takes two to set it up. You could probably get creative and only use one person but I didn’t want to take a chance. It’s being used as my garage man cave.To get it on the lowest setting is easier said than done. You’ll have to take it to medium first then work one side down because the front fold out leg is in the way of the actual screen on the lowest. With that being said, if you’re debating on pulling the trigger, do yourself a favor and BUY IT!

Great screen for AV jobs
The frame and legs assemble easily. Snapping the screen fabric on to the frame can be a little challenging but it fits tight and looks professional. There are some packaging creases on the unfolded fabric, but they are not noticeable when an image is projected on to the screen. This is the exact same screen as the Elite Screens brand, but costs way less.

Cost Effective with Decent Contrast Gain White Screen
The media could not be loaded. The screen came folded in packing, and so, it did possess a lot of creases during installation and first few days of viewing. However, like the manufacturer mentioned in the manual, most of them cleared off within a week or two. But there were few prominent ones, which I alleviated using hot air blower from the backside of the screen with a low temp. air. Still there were very few spots that didn't go in two weeks. But it's hardly noticeable from a decent viewing distance. I also use a native 4k UST projector which can be sensitive to these creases, which shouldn't be the case for most standard throw projectors. Also, the prominent fold creases at very few spots are visible only during a high contrast or white or brighter backgrounds images. Overall, an impressive image quality for a white screen in a darker environment compared to the expensive ALR/CLR screens. As far as the stand is concerned, it is marketed as both indoor and outdoor use, but for indoor usage, some prior planning and thinking needs to be done. I bought a 145" screen that almost gets close to my 100" ceiling at the lowest mount point. The stand can't be fully extended and needs to be assembled with some help to avoid hitting the ceiling if done indoors. Nevertheless, the stand can be opened on one side and flushed against the wall at the lowest point as shown in the images. The frame is sturdier, but the light weight aluminium is easy to slide in a hard wood floor. But everything is manageable and can be used to setup a great mini home theatre if done with proper planning. Great buy for the price and quality

Great screen. Vibrant and beautiful picture
It took a bit to figure out how to put it together the first time. But Since then, I've been able to do it all by myself. Putting it up takes about 10 - 15 minutes by yourself. Maybe a bit less. Taking it down is quicker. The picture is beautiful. I do want to reach out to the manufacturer though. This is my first summer with it and it is beginning to develop brown spots on the screen. I don't see them much when watching movies, , but they really bother me. I do love the screen. I think it's great and would highly recommend it.11/3/2021So I reached out to the vendor regarding the light brown spots on my screen and the tear in my carrying case. They had me try a few solutions that are recommended for removing the spots, but they didn't work completely. So without further delay, they shipped me a new screen and didn't even want the original one back. So I can use it until the spots get really bad and then switch to the new one. I can't thank them enough. They really stand behind their product and I must say, what a product it is. The screen is vibrant, beautiful and really large. I use it primarily for camping trips in the summer and sometimes in the back yard. It makes movie watching a wonderful experience. I even hook up a full home theater to my projector outside. I really love it and won't hesitate to buy from Akai again. Awesome company! Changing my rating to 5 Stars.

Easy Set Up, Packs Up Nicely in the included storage case
The media could not be loaded. This setup is fantastic! Very easy to set up, only gave 4 stars because the snaps that hold the screen to the frame did take a little more effort to connect than I feel they should have. It was a little colder out during set up, so I ended up using a hair dryer on low to warmup the screen. After that the screen was able to stretch better so the snaps could connect to the frame. The frame unfolds and assembles extremely easy and intuitively. The option to have the screen raised up tall or down low makes it great for different group sizes. The screen was generally wrinkle free. The fold lines could be seen up close, but only slightly visible during very bright scenes. Even then it was only noticeable because I was looking for it. I would definitely recommend for anyone that wants a great setup that can be stored easily when not in use. The included storage bag does have carrying handles that help with transporting it.
