I've tried several different medicated anti-dandruff products and only this shampoo has helped to significantly reduce the occurrence of itching, flaking skin on my scalp which I've had for years. It thoroughly cleanses the scalp but the formula can be drying for the rest of the hair. Still, it's effects are considerable!

I bought this product to do tea tree oil in it. Honestly I was looking for clean and healing shampoo for my scalp issues. This took me for a surprise how well it healed. Worth spending extra money on a true product by its name ShiKai.

Shampoo is great and you don’t need a lot to lather up!

I have seborrheic dermatitis and it results in flaky gross crud in my hair. Dandruff shampoos don't really help, so something detoxifying and invigorating like this is my best option. The aroma is awesome! Tea tree oil is a natural antibiotic/drying agent and the peppermint compliments it by stimulating the scalp. Great foaming from the shikai feels better than most other shampoos I've used. It removes all the product from my hair superbly. All around a great shampoo!

I've used this shampoo in the past, but my latest purchase seems to be a new formulation with mint and tea tree oil. It smells fabulous and energizes me when I use it in the shower. And it's just great for my hair (which is totally gray - almost pure white). I should note that I am extremely sensitive to most fragrances, especially florals, but this fragrance does not bother me at all.

This product does tend to dry my hair more than expected, but I love that it makes my hair feel clean. Use a good conditioner afterward.
