I purchased our Resters choice sound machine after my 6 year old told me she thought having sound would help her sleep better. After many hours of searching and reading reviews I decided this sound machine was what would work best for her and at a cost I was willing to pay. Again, she is only 6 and I didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for something she could easily break. We have only owned this item for a little over a month but I have to say, we could not have picked a better sound machine for her and our budget. I know there are other products out there that do all sorts of crazy things, but we needed simple, durable, and reliable. Her resters choice noise machine is PERFECT!!! Not only is it easy for her to use, durable and a very great price, but the quality is GREAT!! I wasn’t expecting anything fancy I even half way expected a slightly cheap feeling item. But, it is solid, very durable, and the sound quality is amazing. Not of cheap quality by any means!! There are no looping sound breaks, or internal buzz noises. She has even taken this with her for road trips and sleepovers at her grandparents house as well. The cords, and connection locations have held up and are all great!! This product is so perfect for our daughter and I would recommended this to anyone looking into getting a sound machine!! I was optimistic regarding this sound machine. Maybe I'm used to a particular ocean sound or white noise but this was bad.The white noise selection is high pitched and whiny. The ocean sounds like a toddler playing in a bubble bath. The rain storm? If I wanted to hear my husband urinating above an echoing toilet bowl I'd likely not have a sound machine.On top of all of that the machine itself didn't even last a whole night before the sound died (no I didn't press the timers) and would not turn back on.

The sounds on this are terrible. The only one that is decent is the static, which literally sounds like radio static. The wind and storm ones are scary and go from barely there to super loud, not relaxing at all. And the ocean one, which is usually our favorite, is ridiculous. My husband and I joked that it sounds like someone pouring a bucket of water into a bathtub, lol. It goes from a barely-there trickling sound (newsflash; oceans don’t make that noise) to a super loud whoosh. It’s also pretty shoddy manufacturing; plastic felt cheap and flimsy. Returned.

I purchased for the ocean sound sound has seagulls which are too loud for the setting.The birds are startling. The sound would be nice if the it was in the background. Not the foreground. The rain sounds are mixed with thunder which frightens my dogs. Not good.The wind has some funky noises in the sound along with strong whistle noises.Which also startle the dash.

I initially bought this sound machine to help my grandson sleep when I babysit. Noq my husband and I use it all the time! The features are great. My favorite sound is waves, because I have always wanted to live by the water. The timer feature is helpful as well, I keep it on all night. This unit plugs in so I do not waste batteries, and I can plug my cell phone in to charge that while sound machine is on. Super product at a fair price.

The power cord is so short on this unit you will need to use an extension cord unless you are one foot away from an outlet. Just ridiculous! The music box sound is the only really nice soothing sound all the others are terrible and sound cheap and unnerving. I would not recommend this unit.

When I first bought this, I liked everything about it except that it didn't have the option to put in batteries for if there was a power outage or if we were traveling somewhere with no electricity.I liked that I had a separate on/off button, because the on/off volume spinner on other noise makers have broken on me so frequently.But the power connection except working on this after 1 year of use. I'm really bummed that it didn't hold up.

Waste of money. Poor quality of sounds. Rain sounds like dripping water, waves and wind sound like something out of a horror film. Why would you have thunderstorm...it’s terrifying for a newborn/baby. Not soothing at all, would cause your poor little one to have nightmares. Only the lullaby was decent.Returned.

All as described. It would greatly benefit from having an internal rechargeable or replaceable battery. However, you always need to plug it in

I bought this product for the wave sounds, unfortunately it doesn't sound like waves gently breaking on the shore it's more akin to someone wading about in a tin bath with wellingtons on. The other sounds are ok but waves - come on!
