Q: How secure is the silicone bottom? If my clever girl can get any part of it to peel off she will chew on it.

Well, silicone is on the bottom of dish which is on the floor. It seems secure 2 me. I've washed it numerous times and still intact. Your furbaby might not b lucky with chewing it off. Mine are 6 and only chew on boxes and/or ear buds. But I love the bowl for t he size. Good luck.

If it doesnt say who made it on the bottom you can assume it's not safe. I found steel bowls at pet smart made in the usa. They cost more but you get what you pay for.
