Juxtapoz Illustration Hardcover – July 15, 2008

Even if you're not a subscriber to the legendary Juxtapoz magazine, this is a must-purchase for anyone even mildly interested in the modern 'pop surrealism' or 'low brow' art movements. Some of my very favorite artists appear in here.All in all, this is chock-full of absolutely stunning works of art. Buy it now if you have any unusual artistic aesthetic tastes whatsoever. This is dirt-cheap for a nicely hardbound book with great printing and sturdy paper.Disclaimer: One of my main goals is to have my work appear in the magazine or the Great 'FSM' willing, an esteemed publication such as this, so if I sound like a fan-boy, I must admit the shoe fits... ;)PS: I plan to pick up the other books in the series too, they have a tattoo one out now as well but others are on the way. Juxtapoz has been doing a great job with the art books they have released. This one is no different.Pros:- Quality Materials (hardcover and thickpages)- Good collection of illustrationsCons:- Glossy pages (which makes difficult to see under the light)- Mine came with the cover a little smashed on the edges, but one figures it's normal as they get thrown around during shipping and handling.

This book makes a good addition to your art book collections. Has many artist in this book and page after page of unique art. From detailed to simple drawings of what todays artist are doing. You won't regret this purchase. Fun to look at and you will find new things everytime you look at it. If you love art especially todays art you will like this book a lot.

This book is a awesome source of research and great sum of the actual Street art and illustrations scenario around the world.

a bit pretentious ... full of "tagger" art and s*** doodled onto peechee notebooks during Mrs Bahts' economics class...whats not to love!!!

Great artists chosen to represent the magazine. Very clean, and gives a wide range of styles and artists. I would highly recommend this book if you like Juxtapoz magazine, or just want to get inspired by a wide array of very talented artists.

This is such an amazing book full of fantastic illustrations. This is now one of my favourite books in my collection such interesting and different work. I would recomend this book to anyone who loves well drawn art.

This is fine but slightly strange book that illustrates that word that only artists really use, perfectly. I read this after reading War and Peace by Tolstoy just to see what 'Juxtaposition' really was!
