Contactum's steel enclosures are specifically designed with large drip shield to protect contents, double bent panel that increases rigidity and corner formed door that ensures better waterproofing with easily removable hinges that are ideal for changing the door opening direction (for certain sizes). Removable bottom gland plate for easy wiring The IP66 enclosures are available in 47 sizes with the options of transparent, double door and internal door. These are ideal for wall mounting electrical equipment and are fitted with an internal removable mounting plate and metal lock.

You get what you pay for
Expensive but very well made enclosure; all steel with detachable internal equipment plate and external connector / gland panel. Noticeably heavy with high-quality grey finish. Only one key supplied, along with bag of hardware and seals and instruction sheet. Using this one for lighting control gear.

Top Class Metal Enclosure
Not exactly the most exciting product to review but as an engineer - marine and offshore - I do know quality electrical stuff when I see it.This is a properly well made product by a company that makes a huge range of these things to cover all your needs. The steel is thick and solid and well coated so sould last a really long time.The enclosure is sealed so water tight for outside use. Indeed these are used on ships so I have no issues in the UK on land or in a factory or as in my case a workshop at home.Overall, its a quality bit of kit.

Expensive but well made and sturdy
This appears very well made – it is sturdy and heavy.I am impressed with its IP66 rating. So far it hasn’t leaked. It looks a lot more sturdy and secure than my previous box made from plastic which cost me £20. This one at the time of writing is £47.07 but you get what you pay for - it is good.
