Good fit. Prints a bit. Sometimes comes out with draw
I have been using a Desantis Nemesis, Remora, and Sticky holsters for my j frames: 642 and Bodyguard 38. They are my edc handguns.I most often use the Desantis because the others aren’t that great as pocket holsters: the Remora (1st gen) is a little bulky, and the Sticky tended to activate the laser on the Bodyguard.I wanted a leather holster to see if it would be less bulky and to see if it would be a little less hot - the Desantis tends to make my leg a little sweaty, but I’m a sweaty guy....The Don Hume is a quality product, and it is nicely constructed. As others have noted, it is snug, and if you jam the gun into the holster, it tends to come out of the pocket with the gun. I get around this by intentionally snagging it against the front edge of my pocket to make sure it stays in.I’m not sure that it is any more comfortable than the Desantis. It does seem to print a little more. The gun is canted forward in the Don Hume so the grip tends to be more visible in jeans than in the Desantis. The gun sits fine with either pocket holster, but I think I actually prefer the vertical configuration more than canted in a pocket. I’m seeing if I get used to it over the next few weeks.I like the looks and feel of leather though, and it appears to be well made. Hopefully it will break in and become shaped to my leg as I use it. It’s totally functional as a pocket holster, and there’s something nice about leather vs nylon.

Quality
This is a very nice inside the pants pocket holster. Leather is stiff enough to its shape to retain. Holster is well molded to the gun and allows a tight hold with an easy pull out resistance. Color is nice too. This adds to the level of professionalism of the gun carrier - not flimsy nylon or other synthetic "pocket." Get that Old School Cool. This is indeed an heirloom item.

Too tight and stiff
This holster is molded and fit my gun well, actually too well. The leather is extremely hard, almost like plastic. I have had my revolver in wax paper inside the holster and weeks later the holster still hasn’t stretched like my others have done through the years. Also, it print is pretty significant. All in all the holster is ok and maybe considered better when it finally stretches, if ever. Right now I could never use the holster as it is way too tight and you couldn’t never get your gun out in a panic, I hope for better performance in time so I will keep it and keep working it

Lives up to it's reputation
This company has been around a long time and from my prospective has always had a fine reputation. This holster is light, well made and comfortable. It is nicely designed and works well. The only draw back is the break in period that any leather holster has to go thru and is of course no fault of the manufacturer.I have no problem recommending this product.

Nice pocket holster for S&W J frame.
Good quality leather, not too thick. J hook stays in your pocket on the draw. Smooths out the contour of the gun as much as can be expected.

Works well, but does not sink as deep in pocket as other pocket holsters
It works really well. The only issue I have with it is it prevents the snubby from sinking in deep enough to my pocket. So the handle sticks out a little ☹️. So I’ll still be using my old Blackhawk pocket holster that has that people of Walmart look to it. My snubby is as pretty as the hunchback, but it actually looked classy in this holster.

Another Fine Don Hume Holster
Seller: As price, product, packaging and delivery time were flawless, I never dealt with Customer Service. If one had to, I suppose it would go well as the purchase itself was done right the first time.Product: I've always been pleased with Don Hume. The forward cant on this one dips the grip to just inside the pocket. The hammer guard is extended to make the perfect holster push off which lands my thumb squarely on the hammer. This finishes a snag free draw, leaves the holster in pocket and cocks the hammer in effectively one motion. The leather is thinner than synthetic padded holsters and eventually softer than kydex. I just carry it to break it in. My first generation Charter Undercover loves it.

Perfect gun position
Very good quality as usual for the brand. This holster holds the revolver at an angle to reduce the print of the handle. It’s just a better position to hold the gun overall. All the other pocket holsters hold the gun with the barrel straight up and down. This is the only one I’ve found that holds it at this angle. The angle also helps distribute the weight better, the gun is more balanced and does not shift around in the pocket. The price can’t be beat and I couldn’t find a nicer one at any price.
