Cats love it, I love it, you should get it and make yourselves both happy
There's not much to say here that everyone else here hasn't said already.- If you feel discouraged for the price, you can wait a little bit for the price to change. I was able to get it for $18/each rather than the original $25.- If you live near a TJ Maxx, you might be able to get it from there for as little as $12. I unfortunately discovered this 1 day too late...- Yes, it is a glorified cardboard box but it WORKS. They love it and it generally looks better than having a box lying around. Plus it's got the scratch pad with my 2 cats actually use.- My cats have generally preferred scratching downward rather than upward. We have bought multiple vertical scratch posts but they really just rub against them without scratching them.- One of our cats was never trained to scratch so he constantly goes at the furniture and the screen door. Literally within 1 minute of putting out this Scratcher, he jumped right on and started scratching! We almost cried.- They love to sit in it. All day long. It's really cute.- FYI, the scratch pad at the bottom is reversible so you get twice the use out of it.- My cats actually like to scratch the sides. They like to lie inside and flip around a bunch and they actually use the side scratching areas.- I like to leave one of the headboards on (they come with boards on both ends so that the entire thing is like a box but you can remove both) because they like to lie right up against it and use it to push themselves off and wibble around.Sometimes, when it comes to cats, the simplest design is the best design. You can spend tons of money on fancy scratch posts or toys with lights but honestly, cats just want a box, some tissue paper, and a piece of wire. So, if you're thinking about it, stop and just get it.

Your cat wants one!
Longtime user and I've never had a cat that didn't absolutely love her scratch lounge. They last a long time even with lots of use. The replacement floor refills make them last even longer.

Best scratchers we've purchased!
These things are huge and my cats LOVE them! We recently bought a new sofa and these were an offer of something to scratch besides the sofa. We do clip their nails regularly (every 10 days to 3 weeks or so) but we read that anytime you have to say "no" to your cats about one thing you have to give them a "yes" opportunity elsewhere. So we have one on either side of our sofa. They are pretty big, but as far as I'm concerned, better these laying around than my furniture destroyed. Eventually we may move to just one on the side that is hidden by the end of the sofa but for now, two. They love them, lounge around on them and since we got them, any scratching we hear takes place on them. I had bought some smaller ones similar to these from Petsmart, that worked pretty well except they were not reversible. These were to replace and were the same price as the Petsmart ones. However, these are much larger, more sturdy and have the added bonus of the reversible scratching surface (and a large bag of catnip with each scratcher as well). Great value, in my opinion!

Cardboard Heaven!
Our 15lb Siberian is in love! When we first presented this cardboard scratcher to our cat, it was not surprise that he jumped right in. He jumps right into any paper product, whether it's 20x his size or half his size. Three amazing things: (1) he actually uses it to scratch, which is only amazing to me because he's never used a cardboard material for scratching, (2) he practically lived in it for the first three days (he usually tires of a new box or bag within a day, if not a few hours), and (3) after a couple of weeks he still uses it regularly for scratching and lounging. I've also been very pleased with how sturdy it is-- even the scratching portions are holding up very well. One downside for us is that Siberians have triple coats and, it being summer, he's shedding like crazy. I've tried several ways to remove the fur, but so far the adhesive rollers seem to be the only thing to work -- and that get's expensive give that every day or so I go through 4 - 5 sheets just cleaning this box. (On the other hand, better there than on our carpet.) If the manufacturer could create a brush that removes cat hair from this box, they'd have e new product to sell (at least to us)!Last note: the seller was kind enough to include a large sample of their catnip. Another first -- our nine year old cat, who has never shown any interest in any catnip (fresh, organic, other), all of a sudden enjoys this stuff! I'm not sure if he's simply changed as he's gotten older or if this catnip really is the special thing for him, but it's great! We will be buying another of these lounges for another room, soon!
