Woodland Stitches: An Embroidery Transfer Pattern Book With Inspirational Quotes and Woodland Designs

This is a beautiful collection of images from a very talented illustrator. You can do simple embroidery from it or copy the pages to color or enlarge them for appliqué on home decor. I was momentarily confused when I opened it up because I had been under the impression that the pages themselves were to be used - like an iron on pattern- but they are not. This isn’t an issue but it is worth noting.

I didn't read the description carefully enough. Based on the title, I expected iron on transfers. The "transfers" are pages to be traced onto your fabric. They are beautiful, but I'm disappointed. I could find images online to trace; I bought a "transfer" book because I thought there would be an easier way.

The designs are very sweet, and modern. Stylized I think would describe them best. Not cartoonish. Note that there are no instructions for how to do the embroidery stitches, or which stitch to use. The designs are all drawn in solid lines, so you need to decide where you want to fill in with satin stitch, or use a lazy daisy stitch instead of outlining that leaf, etc. It is strictly a pattern book, as described.

They are designed for embroidery, but the transfers could also be used for coloring pages, watercolor transfers, applique templates, use your imagination.So many designers charge up to $10 for one little design. This book is not only one wonderful design after another, it is a terrific bargain. This book is a gift to all of us from GINGIBER.

I love this book. It's actually a book of patterns. There's a huge variety of subjects in the 30 patterns, and they are all adorable. The book includes brief embroidery instructions and instructions on how to transfer the patterns to fabric. These are not iron-on transfers. It's quite a bargain in terms of how many patterns you get for the money. If you follow the instructions on the inside cover, you get 2 additional patterns. I highly recommend this book and can hardly wait to start stitching.

This book has the dearest pictures to use! I’ve never embroidered anything, but seeing this book motivated me to learn. If you are new, like me, learn some basic stitches first (this has easy to do art, but does not include specific stitches) and have fun!

This spectacular book is a must have! There are 30 completely adorable and easy to follow embroidery patterns in this book! It’s an incredible value. Perfect for anyone who loves quick embroidery projects. I highly recommend this beautiful book!

This book is full of adorable designs to stitch and an excellent value for the number of patterns included. The huge variety of animals (there's even a skunk!) gives a ton of options for projects. The designs are clear and easy to trace through fabric against a window. The instructions given for finishing hoops are helpful, too! I'm looking forward to hours of pleasant stitching of the whimsical animals Stacie has come to be known for.

This is NOT an embroidery transfer book, it is a book of designs for embroidery. The designs are lovely, so I’m happy enough with my purchase. However, a transfer is an iron-on design that transfers directly onto your fabric with heat.

Fabulous little book with beautiful designs for you to stitch. The only trouble is choosing which to use first because they are all so cute.

Pages aren’t perforated which just makes them annoying to cut out. Don’t love all of them but there are enough cute ones for the price.

Very sweet patterns but I thought for some reason the transfers were iron on. They are meant to be copied by hand. Oops
