As other reviews mentioned the size listed the raw material size before it's folded over to make the finished edges. If you really need 6'x8' look elsewhere. Otherwise he material has a nice weight and seems to be durable.

I welded up a frame for it and zip-locket it down. Good thick material with gromets all the way around. Perfect for my use in the shop.

I know it says transparent but damn it's like cellophane plastic wrap with food coloring that rubbed off on it. Are we sure this is rated for welding?Better than nothing, but still. Also fyi it's just a tad wider than 8', shorter than 6'.

I work with a group of 4-H members learning to weld. This keeps the the others safe from flash. I cut a 6X8 in half to make two 4X6 shields. I add grommets on the cut edge.

I used to shield my gasoline cans from grinding sparks so I don’t go boom. Put my cans under shelving and attached to shelf edge. Covered completely and I’m satisfied.
