Great Litter - With Some Adjustments
My cat has a very sensitive respiratory system and cannot do clay litter. I prefer clumping and didn’t want to use crystal litter after trying it. This litter has been great for the past 4 years! For odor, I use charcoal granules and mix them in with the litter. This does the trick for controlling any odor (it does okay on its own but this is much better). It clumps just fine and I don’t smell anything with daily scooping. When I had two cats, I did need to scoop twice daily to to prevent odor (they preferred to share a box instead of using multiple). This litter is not dusty at all and smells natural and clean. Be sure not to get the scented version if your cat is sensitive to smells - the bags look almost the same. It’s also important to note that this litter is very lightweight, so price comparison by weight is not all that useful. I find that with one small cat that used a medium sized litter box, I use 1 bag per month. I fill up the box with about 59-60% of the bag, then use the rest to refill as needed when scooping. This may vary if your cat needs more than 2-3 inches of litter or has a bigger box.I find that this litter tracks an average amount, similar to clay. I was able to get rid of this issue with a proper litter mat. I use a rubber mat with lots of grooves. I find it’s more effective with this litter over the trapper-style mats and also easier to clean. This litter is compostable! If you are into composting, this litter can be composted for NON-FOOD items such as cut flower gardens, flower beds, your yard, etc. Note that pet waste should never be used in compost intended for edible gardens. With some small adjustments, this litter has been a great alternative to clay. I love how much lighter it is and no more dust!

The best litter!
This litter is top quality and best value for your money. It works very well with great clumping and little to no dust. Virtually no smell from the litter or the deposits made by your furry friend. The only downside is that it does track a little more than I'd like but the safety and natural aspects are worth a little sweeping in my opinion.

Does not work well for the Litter Robot
About my cats: 1 spayed female (10yo), 2 neutered males (8yo and 10yo). They are all agreeable about changes to food, litter, environment, etc. The boys generally get congested every summer (they always go to the vet for this), and one has a wheat allergy so we are not able to use litter with wheat. We have tried pretty much every type of natural litter out there that doesn't have wheat. We bought a Litter Robot 3 (LR3) and had to switch from World's Best Cat Litter (the red one) because it was too dusty and aggravated the respiratory issues for the boys. So we decided to try this one.Pros+ no smell+ zero dust+ clumps reasonably wellCons- tracking- getting stuck in their fur- clumps remain wet and stick to the litter box surface (regular and robot)Cons specific to LR3- lightweight means the sensors might get confused (it started cycling when our 8yo cat was in it and the manufacturer said lightweight litter can confuse the weight sensors)- no odor management in the LR3 even with a new carbon filter, which means emptying the drawer more often- clumps get stuck to the rubber lining and have to be scraped offWe are looking for a new option for two main reasons:1) Lots of people mention the terrible tracking, but I didn't see anyone else mention that this actually gets stuck in my cats' fur. When I pet them after they've been in the box, I can feel the bits of litter in their fur even though I can't see it, so I have to ruffle their fur or brush them to get all of that out. I imagine the litter must be irritating to their skin if it's not removed right away.2) The odor of used litter is unbearable; the ammonia is enough to knock you out, and I can't imagine having to actually be inside of the box. They are such good cats to not have gone on strike from using the Litter Robot when we tried this one.Bottom line: If you have a normal litter box and scoop every day, it's probably a great litter, which is why I gave it 4 stars (plus that it's actually dust free as they claim). But I wouldn't recommend this for the Litter Robot for the reasons listed above.

FAVORITE kitty litter
Almost afraid to review because I don’t want a shortage. It is the absolute BEST in capturing the urine - no smells at all! It scoops so cleanly - helping it last FOREVER! Not like the standard chalky, powdery mess after a couple days even. We can just add to it every a couple times a month and it’s still fresh! We change the whole box every 7 or 8 weeks. We do scoop almost daily and we do use 2 boxes for 1 cat. It DOES track and come out of box, but only clean seeds. We have a small carpet outside the box that catches most of it and vinyl flooring so easy to sweep. If you have carpet it should vacuum easily, but if you freak out about tracking, than maybe this isn’t for you. But I’ll gladly take the extra cleanup as a trade for no smells any day! It may seem pricier than others, but in the long run, since it lasts so long between full changes, I think we’re saving money.

Finally!
This litter is my favorite, and I’ve used all brands and types of clay litter plus litter made from walnut shells and one from pine pellets. So Phresh clumps the best of all the ones I’ve used, is light colored and lightweight, prevents urine odor, and has a natural smell itself with no perfume fragrance. It tracks somewhat, but the litter mat I use catches most of it, and it’s easy to sweep up what the mat misses. I highly recommend this litter.
