DORAEMON Gadget Cat from the Future Vol. 4 (I'm the Wolf man, Volume 4)

By late 70s, Doraemon, or the Gadget Cat From The Future became popular nationwide in Japan and most of children as well as many adults enjoyed the story and Japanese people were looking forward to the day when the new volume of the comic book is published. Volume 4 of Doraemon collection written in both English and Japanese has the selected stories from Volume #11 to #13 of Tentomushi comics edition.The third story, OKAMI-OTOKO CREAM in particular is one of the most beloved mid-70s Doraemon stories. While early Doraemon episodes involved only children such as the protagonist Nobita, Doraemon, the cat-shaped robot and Nobita's friends.But this episode as well as other episode chosen for Vol.4 even adults are at the mercy of Doraemon's strange tools or gadgets. In the story about the cream which turns the wearer into a Wolfman when he/she sees something round or circular, Nobita's mother accidentally put on wolf-man cream. Doraemon follows her and try to prevent her from becoming a wolf by eliminating or concealing the round objects which she might be seeing. In ARAKAJIME ANTENNA or WASUREDORI Nobita's father uses Doraemon's tools and gets even more embarrassed. By taking adults much more roles the creater makes a satire of post-war Japanese society in a light-mannered way. A WALK IN A CLOUDS and TAKING AN ARROW TO SCHOOL are pure-fantasy tales in modern world. THE MAGIC HAND focuses on dark side of technology. Some Doraemon stories may give you creeps such as CUBIC COPY in which NOBITA's cubic copy doll behaves as if he has the will of his own. But unlike early episodes the creater tries not to be so scary for children.Verdict: Best time of Doraemon. 小学生の娘用に購入しました。とても喜んでいます。

訳が丁寧でほぼ申し分ありません。英語ビデオでの学習法と異なり、煩わしい操作に気を使うことなく、マイペースで勉強を進められるところがよいです。日常会話の英語脳形成に文句なく効きます。

受験生ですが、息抜きに良いそうです。

昔見た内容だったが楽しめました。最近の漫画にはない古さが逆に新鮮に感じたりして良かったです(^^)
