Buy different one
Bought to replace the mic on my Swann cctv as old one stopped workingLive wire was not soldered onto pcb properly and was broken off upon opening box, resoldered it myself!There is more static noise than actual audio recordingRed light is a lot brighter than is needed!Am looking for a replacement already after a couple of minutes trialing it! You get what you pay for :(

The microphone works ok but...
Does the job but the design could be better, it's feels very cheap and it may break any time. The cables are not secured properly and there's nothing stealth, unobtrusive about it: there's a bright red led light on all the time and looks like half of a golf ball.This is for indoor use only or used outside under a DIY cover - it will not last 1 minute in the rain.With a good cover, painted black and the led removed it would be a decent item for the money.

Brilliant mic .but make sure you place it in a waterproof area.i fitted mine ín a cowl.it will pick up any sounds.even a heghog chewing a biscuit .

Good sound
Covert? Not likely, it's got a red LED on the board which lights up the whole white dome.Other than that the sound quality is very good and no background noise at all.
