Q: Can this be used on steak?

I don’t know. I have always used in cake and other desserts for decoration. It is quite costly to put on steak.

Q: What is the weight of just the gold leaf? I see 0.102 ounces but does that include the weight of the paper that separates them?

I don't know for sure. This gold is extremely thin. So thin it can easily blow away or tear. It must be used very carefully. I used tongs to lift and place it. I hope that helps.

Q: i would like to use this for candles but i need to know does this change color? like after days, weeks?

I didn't notice any changes in time. The gold is real gold so if you have good vision like me you really experience it and know it is gold, such a soft and buttery glow not like fake gold that has that silvery glow.

Please do not ever put gold or any metal product that can conduct an electrical current in the microwave.
