Q: Is it Matting or shining

I believe you can get both types. in this case from the photo I would say the pale pink and the dark brown are mat, with the one I currently have the bronze is not. Unlike some other make up I have seen none are very shimmery. I don't buy glitter make up.

Q: Is this eyeshadow made in China?

Per their website here; https://www.mineralfusion.com/pages/about-us the answer is "no". Also, since this product is not tested on animals it could not be made in China as China requires all cosmetics to be tested on animals

They DO NOT test on animals. I love their products.

Q: can you pull the metal part out and glue in different colors to make your own palate if you by 2 trio sets?

The colors are put into the palate pretty tightly. I'm not sure I'd want to mess with it, out of concern that I would damage more than one color.
