Shares cultural background behind Hebrew when studying the Bible words.
When studying the Bible it is important sometimes to understand the cultural significance behind a word what it meant in the culture. A lot of times this will help you understand how it's being translated and should be used definitionally in our day and time. This book does that. It starts with an index on the back to the Strong's numbers to the Hebrew what you can get from either you're Bible Software or other concordance first. Then this index will give you the authors numbering system so that look up his definition culturally to how the became what it is in Hebrew. Many times there is a picture graph that was used to communicate before the Hebrew characters were developed from the picture graft. The picture graph is also shared so this is a great study Aid and helps you get back to the original biblical meaning of the Hebrew words. Which is how you have to translate them in today's day and time. You don't use modern definitions for words that are over 2000 3000 years old you have to go back in time and what did they mean back then to their culture then you will get the proper definition or meaning of the word in Scripture. Yes I highly recommend this book

A Must For Anyone Trying To Understand Paleo Hebrew
This is my 3rd book written by Jeff Benner. These books are a great investment and IMO a must for anyone attempting to learn Hebrew and paleo Hebrew. I am grateful for the time and effort that Jeff Benner and his staff have taken in the endeavor to translate (so odd that is the appropriate word) the scriptures back into the language that they were originally written. Without understanding the ancient paleo/Hebrew language, hebraic mindset and the culture the scriptures were written, in my opinion- it is impossible to get a firm understanding of YHWHs word. Throughout time man has translated YHWHs words with their own interpretations and cultural influence many times over. I will be a student of Torah and the ancient Hebraic mindset for the rest of my earthly walk and will be adding additional books by Jeff Benner to assist me in doing so.

Unveiling-to know God Face to Face
Thank you to the Author! I’ve been following you on YouTube! Understanding these things has changed my life! I come from an LDS/Mormon background and the ancient Hebrew characters of Gods name are acted out in the Mormon ordinance/ritual of the endowment (although most members don’t “see” it). Most people are completely unaware of all the Hebrew symbols. Our original endowment ceremony also said “peh Le el” at the altar and has since been altered to remove the Hebrew language, and so most members of my faith are ignorant of all the rich symbolism and believe the opposite of the intended symbols. I now filter all I am learning in the scriptures back through this your book. I feel like a world of opposites has been unveiled to me and now I finally am beginning to know God personally. Thank you for your work! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I know what you are doing is part of your journey, and what I am learning because of it is part of mine! True seekers will find this book an essential part of their journey.

Great, but not simple
I bought this after finding Jeff Benner's YouTube channel and finding myself in agreement with him on a lot of his points about Biblical Hebrew. It is my first Hebrew lexicon, but not my last. I have ordered another and will probably buy more later, but this one is certainly unique.Firstly, the binding is nice and pretty unique. The text block seems to be suspended well away from the spine of the cover and I think it helps the book to lay flat, but regardless, it feels sturdy and nice, and the paper feels decent as well. There is a website listed as a companion to this book, and it's even printed in the first several pages of the book, but the website is currently down. Jeff Benner does have several other useful websites available, however, and I've had a lot of help from his online Hebrew grammar lessons on the sites. The book has a heavy focus on the true ancient Hebrew script, and bases its entries on that script, so if you're used to the modern Aramean block script, it's kinda weird. The modern script is included in parenthesis next to the paleo forms, but it seems a bit counter-intuitive and takes some getting used to. I will probably come to prefer this version in time, but as someone who hasn't mastered the paleo script yet and only had minimal exposure to it, it's certainly trying on the brain to translate that into modern characters, and then try to figure out what those modern characters mean in my English-speaking brain.I have used this a few times now while studying my way through Genesis and it has come in handy. I do appreciate Jeff's unique and detailed way of finding the essence of the language and finding the connections between words instead of only focusing on a particular definition for a particular word without considering the broader related meaning of other words to understand the context in the way the ancient speakers did. Also, the book is broken into two major sections, one section of 2-letter roots and another section of 3-letter roots, and it can be a bit confusing to find your way around until you take time to get used to it. I find it very handy on one hand, but also a bit cumbersome on the other. Basically, this book takes more time to use properly than you might think, but it's worth that time if you want to understand the essence of the language and not just continue on with the one-word gloss definitions in the BHS reader's editions, etc.Overall, I really appreciate Mr. Benner's work and I'm glad I bought this book. I recommend it to anyone who wants to get seriously deep into Biblical and ancient Hebrew.

Best Hebrew Lexicon
I have several Hebrew Lexicons. Benner's Lexicon explains the problems with the vowel pointers in the Masoretic text. His Lexicon is based on the best available Original Hebrew and Aramaic OT texts that were those used by Yehushueh and His Disciples. It is better than any of the other Hebrew Lexicons I have.
