This just slots into the CD slot in my car (e89 Z4). It is a tight fit so is very stable. I did worry a little that it might damage the CD slot or surround but there is no sign that it has. Can recommend it for vehicles where the CD slot is not too close to the gear lever.

Great product only gripe I have is that the ball socket the the phone attracts to could be slightly stiffer to allow for vibrations in harder rides coupled with a larger than normal phone (note 10 plus) but that's personal preference and probably wouldn't even be a issue with a 'normal' sized phone.I found a sweet spot after a few journeys where the phone won't move and still faces me in a desired direction.The latch that clamps itself into the slot is incredibly strong.Good bit of kit to utilize that CD player we never use anymore.

Great mount -- holds my phone securely, with very little jiggle (not a bother or hindrance to reading the screen etc. -- cars bounce sometimes and this thing will jiggle a bit along with it -- nothing to be concerned about).- easy to set up and install- quick and easy to adjust angle and position of phone when mounted- several options with respect to attaching the metal rectangle in or under phone or phone case (this is the part that the magnet attracts/holds onto)- will depend on your care layout etc. but in my case, this did not block anything vital -- no reduced airflow from vent etc.- super fast and convenient -- just place the phone against the mount and it is mounted, to grab it and go....simply grab it and go! -- no hooks, latches, buttons etc.
