Q: How do the pieces go back on the plunger? (Someone took mine off and put back incorrectly).

The metal disk on the bottom , mesh screen in the middle and the spring disk on top

Q: Does your coffee touch any plastic and if so is it BPA free?

The container is glass and the plunger is metal. There is one part that might be plastic and it hangs down from lid to strain coffee as you pour. Not sure if it is BPA free.
