Q: Can you roll or squeeze this bag to speed up the filtration process?

Yes. It rolls to seal, just keep rolling after. But it's a huge bag, there are smaller bags out there that are better for compressing if you need your water fast

Q: How can this filer's clean water outlet be securely connected to another Waterdrop roll-top bag to keep dirt and bugs out?

It is not necessary to attach the water outlet tube to the WaterDrop to keep dirt and bugs out. The outlet is closed until you insert the outlet tube. Then it becomes open. Or you can insert the tube and then use the tube clamp to prevent water from going past the clamp. However, I have found that clamp to be less than ideal and it takes some effort to close it fully enough that it doesn't leak. And if you're concerned about bugs or dirt entering the bag from the top, you can fold over the top flap and then secure the buckle to prevent anything entering the bag after you have filled it with water.
