Q: What is the height from the floor to the top of the seat?

The ones with the vinyl seat are just under 18 inches in the front, I also have a couple fabric covered ones that are about 17 1/2.

Q: what is the weight capacity for this chair? And will it hold up with regular (rather than occasional) use?

Not sure of official capacity, but these chairs are very strong and well made. I have weighed over 300 pounds at one time, and they easily held my weight without being wobbly. Besides being strong and well made, they look very nice, like well made finished padded wooden chairs. So much better than typical metal folding chairs!

Not sure what the exact weight limit is, but it held my father in-law who is at least 300 lbs. It's a sturdy chair, but I imagine it would wear out if used everyday.
