Q: Do you still use the bromine/chlorine floater with tablets?

We don't use a floater. We add 1 - 2 tablespoons of SpaGuard Enhanced Shock powder 2 times a week to our hot tub. We use the spa nearly every night, so we've found adding chlorine powder twice a week keeps the water clean. If you're asking about the need for using chlorine in addition to the Silk solution, the answer is yes. Silk does not replace chlorine, it treats the water to make it gentler on the skin.

Q: What is used for the shock? Can it be non chlorine MSP?

Use SpaGuard: Enhanced Shock AFTER the Silk Balance. What I do for my spa (and I use the Nature2 Cartridges): Chlorine, Silk Balance, and Shock. I don't put anymore chemicals in it for the next few weeks. Pristine clear and non-odorous water.

Q: Has the formulation changed? In the first two containers, the contents were a chalky white. The new one is clear with a greenish blue tint.

Yes. After Nov 2014 the color is Caribbean Blue instead of Milky White.
