so much practice!
I bought this book for my daughter, who will be retaking the sat this fall and is looking to improve her score in both the reading/writing and math sections of the test.We went through the collegeboard practice tests months ago, when my daughter was first preparing for the exam. My daughter got through those tests pretty quickly, so we started looking for additional resources, particularly for her to use over the long summer break.I was hesitant to buy this book at first because I had never heard of the company before. Turns out though that those worries were unfounded - we've so far gone through a lot of the reading, writing, and math in the book. It's particularly great that the grammar section has its own practice since my daughter never really formally learned it. The book is broken out into sections that make sense, and the explanations (Did I mention that each section tells you which page to find the answers on? SO helpful) are really helpful. I like how the book makes it really easy for my daughter to find a type of question and work on it.There are A LOT of practice questions, which we plan for my daughter to finish working through by the end of the summer. Worth every penny.

As close to the real test as you can get
I am a professional tutoring and academic coach with my own company in Manhattan. The redesigned SAT has presented new challenges for test prep educators such as myself, due to the lack of good practice materials available. The College Board has only released four official tests, and third-party materials tend not to capture the essence of the real test especially well. However, this is not the case with this book. It is a wonderful supplement to the official College Board materials, as most of the book is "guided practice" - collections of practice problems arranged by topic for Reading, Writing, and Math. For students who have particular difficulties with, say, exponents and radicals, or function notation, or subject-verb agreement, etc, there are groups of questions to hone in on and strengthen those particular skills. After all the guided practice, the book includes one full-length practice test at the end.Another benefit of this text is that there is little to no "filler," as there is in so many other test-prep books. The cover says "1500+ practice questions," and that is what you get - just plenty of practice, practice, practice. As a test-prep educator, that's exactly what I want and need from my materials, without the extra weight in my bag of all the unnecessary introductory materials that typically take up half of a large prep book. The test also includes answer explanations in the back, so it can be used for independent study, as well as in a one-on-one or group tutoring setting. I would absolutely recommend this book over the other third-party books that are out there.

Focus on those sections in which you are struggling
My daughter is taking the SAT this spring and this is the book she takes to school with her in case she has any time to practice any problems during school. It has the problems sectioned out depending upon which section of the test she wants to practice and that makes it easy to focus on one topic or another. This type of practice will help her increase her speed in taking the SAT, bacause she will be better versed in those sections that she is practicing. She is also studying with The Official SAT Study guide which includes 4 full SAT's and the answers and explainations of those answers. The problem with just taking SAT's over and over again, is that she wants to raise her SAT score, and to do that she must practice those sections that she is making the most mistakes. Why should she practice sections in that she is scoring high? This book helps her to fucus on those sections that she is making the most mistakes.

perfect for the summer!
We bought this book for the practice, and there is a lot of it! My son was working with a tutor this spring, and will be doing so again in the fall. Since we're traveling a lot, the tutor recommended that we get this book for my son to practice and stay on top of things. We're only a few weeks in, but so far so good! We're really only working on Reading and Writing. There are tons of reading passages! It's nice how each passage has one of each type of question in it. Having a dedicated grammar section is very helpful too.The best thing are the VERY detailed answer explanations. Makes working without a tutor for a while easier for my son, even though he still sometimes has questions.

Excellent product
I use the Tutorverse guide to the New SAT in my work with students throughout NYC. I have found their books to contain lots of problems that adequately prepare students for the reformatted test. The company is always looking to improve its products and help push students to improve on the SAT. Highly recommend.

I Highly recommend The Tutorverse SAT practice book!!!
I started my SAT review this summer, I found this book on Amazon, and was very pleased. This book has several really comprehensive practice tests, and it breaks down the many differing elements of what is involved in taking the SAT's! I was worried that I would have to purchase several different books, but as for now, this one appears to be sufficient in helping me study, and learn tricks that will help me in taking and mastering the test. I highly recommend The Tutor-verse SAT review for anyone who is going through the process of studying for The SAT's.

A is correct because other choices are wrong.
Questions are good but answer choices and explanations are awful. Sometimes you can answer questions without reading the question; because some answers choices are different from other wrong 3 chooses. And in the explanation part some explanations are like this: " A is correct because B,C,and D are wrong. " In some questions I can't be convinced with explanations. Explanations are boring, I don't want to read them after finishing questions. Explanations are at the end of the book; and it's hard to look to the end of the book for each question.:(
