Mine doesn't go all the way down either. Whether it was designed that way, I don't know.

According to the picture that they display on the page, it’s 12.1 inches from bottom to the top of the outer lid.

Q: Are the cups the same size regardless of thermos size? So do the thermoses have the same size cups?
