Q: Will this work on my Gamo swarm magnium?

Sure after awhile regular scopes can and most will give way to the recoil if a spring piston air rifle, but Vortex scopes even the cheaper ones are pretty rugged. Even if it does break after 6 months, 6 years, or 60 years, that's the amazing (almost unheard of) warranty and customer service time to shine. Just call Vortex and send it back, they will ship you out a brand new. No questions asked! I sell firearms for a living, and it's incredible to deal with this company when you rarely have to.

Q: What are the best rings to mount this scope on a remington 700 30-06. Something that wont break the bank?

Look up Vortex Optics Hunter 1” scope rings! They work great, I think $16 for two. You will probably need the Medium height.

Q: How would this work for 7.62.54r cartridge? Are there other Vortex optic that would be better?

I think it would work fine. I use it for a 30-06 and the ballistics between 30-60, 7.62 NATO and 7.62x54r are not terribly different. I got sub moa at 100 yards.
