This is a very clear well written book that fills a huge gap in the idiom. I am enjoying it immensely and learning a lot. The CPI book is also excellent, and I wish I could in all conscience pay the inflated prices for the out of print men's Cabrera book, but this has been a wonderful straightforward honest and affordable help and Im glad I took a chance on it.

Book called Illustrated Guide to Sewing published by Fox Chapel Publishing is an excellent sewing book for beginners as well as people that have not sewen for a few years. It is a good refresher course book. I like it very much.

I have been tailoring clothing for a long time- but can always use new tips and tricks! And this book is fabulous - covers everything from the basics to the complex in clear, straight forward language and with great illustrations/photos! I definite must have!

If you're new to tailoring, this is an okay book. If you've been tailoring for a while, this book has nothing really new to share. With such a lovely cover, I guess I was expecting more. This book utilizes colored drawings as illustrations, just like the other books in this series. If you're a more visual learner and like full color photos, try any of the books from CPI - excellent photos showing the details.

Great book

If a good book, but they may include more explanations and no waist time in basics as for example, working tools. The important about TAILORING is how transform patterns and how sewing fabrics. I would include a little more of everything.
