The milling set can be used without a taper, but not the mandrel. The milling set can be purchased separately though. That being said, this is an odd question.

That is what we use it for, but can be used on other kits as well.

The description indicates a #2 MT, can't remember if I had to select the MT when adding to the cart or not.
