Learning to Fly with this Mini-Drone!!!
Wow! What a fantastic little mini drone for novice users. With this entry level drone, you can learn to fly successfully in minutes. I took the first 10 minutes to learn the basics of the controller, to adjust the “drift” and to learn the basics of flying this drone, and then plugged in the second battery that came with the drone and the sky is the limit… let your imagination take over! Play with the drone, learn to skirt in and out of tight spaces, through obstacles, do 360’s, and whatever you can dream up. Just don’t let it get too far out of range, as it does have an approximate 90 foot range that you no longer have control. The DEERC D20 mini-Drone comes in a nice, compact carrying case loaded with the drone, the controller, 2 rechargeable batteries and charging cord, an easily read user manual and accompanying items to help you take off into space with this cool little instrument of fun. The user manual is a helpful item for a new flier to learn how to fly. It is easy to understand and gives helpful pointers to help the novice pilot in getting familiar with an entry level drone. There are two quick charging batteries for the drone, with each battery giving approximately 8-10 minutes of flight time. Having two batteries allows the user to be able to charge both and double the flight time, having charged both, and then once the first battery is exhausted, charging it while flying with the other charged battery. My drone pulled left (drifted left) initially, but with my handy-dandy little instruction manual, I quickly learned how to adjust the drone and it was able to hover nicely in place soon after. The manual instructs on how to correct drifting left, right, forward and backward, as well as how to recalibrate the entire system if ever needed. It is a simple adjustment that only took a few seconds of adjustment to correct. There are many cool features about this drone. The sleek design, the basic, entry level camera, the neat looking LED lights on the drone, and the excellent tricks that the drone has the ability to perform. For a mini-drone, it proves to be a tough unit, able to take some banging around as I was learning how to fly. It can climb approximately 70 feet (estimated) without any issue on a day with a light breeze. Be aware of trying to fly in windy day however, as this lightweight drone does not handle gusty wind very well.Pros:- Ease of use with little initial knowledge of drone flying- Easy to read, easily understood user manual- 2 batteries for the Drone, which allows for a quick trade out in order to fly twice as much without wait- A cool little compact carrying case that holds the Drone, the controller and all supplies handily- A durable, inexpensive, fun entry level mini drone capable of handling lots of maneuvers for an entry level user.Cons:-Windy days are not a friend of this drone due to the light-weight nature of the drone.Overall, this is a great, inexpensive beginner’s mini-drone, and well worth the cost. If you are considering learning how pilot a drone, let this drone be your first experience with drones. You will be surprised how easily you can let your imagination take you to the next level with this starter drone!

Excellent drone
I was asked to be a tester for this drone. It arrived quickly and we were up and running in almost no time. After 1 flight, I lost the controls to my 8-year old who rapidly was hovering in no time.Pros:- I really like the packaging. It comes with a case to carry everything.- Includes 2 batteries and 2 chargers. Great for charging 1 battery while flying on the othe- Cartridge type batteries. I like that there was no opening hatches and pulling on wires/connectors to change out the battery. Just slide out one battery and slide in the new one- Good battery life- Fairly tough; survived 25+ crashes- Easy to install iPhone app that was very intuitive- Very fast compared to a couple of other drones we have. I played drone "chase" with my son and I could easily outrun his HS140.- Folding arms/motor into a very compact formCons- I prefer separate trim buttons. The remote has 1 trim button that puts the remote into trim mode. The joysticks are then used input the trim settings. The drone is uncontrollable while trimming. The trim mode does time out after about 2 seconds if there is no stick input. However, I had to get out of trim mode while still not trimmed out completely, just to get the drone back under control (especially outdoors with a little bit of wind).- Very grainy video. HS140 seems to have a better camera, but it is also much bigger.- The transmitter holder for phones did not fit my iPhone 7+ with a phone case installed. The holder is a spring loaded clamp where the clamp extends to get the phone in. It should extend a little more to accommodate larger phones.- I don't like the pushbutton for transmitter on and off. With the door/phone holder closed, you can't tell if the transmitter is on. It does have different sounds for on and off. I prefer an on/off switch with a large LED like the HS140We flew the drone a lot for about a week before it finally broke. I admit I crashed a few times, but my 6 and 8 year olds were very hard on the drone, as were some other children in the neighborhood. I was very impressed that such a small drone survived as long as it did. In the end, the plastic gear attached to the motor shaft spin and it appears that the inside of the gear is melted. I tried to take some pictures to see the damage. This was most likely the last crash where the motor was trying to spin the prop that was being prevented from rotating. Conclusion:I really like the drone. The advantages/features greatly outweigh the disadvantages/weaknesses. I do recommend this for more experienced drone pilots. It did not stand up too well to the abuse my young children provided. Great value/product for the price.
