Hi, we recommend that you add the oatmeal to a jug of warm water and leave it to stand for about fifteen minutes to allow the beneficial ingredients to soak before stirring it and adding it to the bath. Our Colloidal oatmeal is whole grain with maximum moisturising and healing benefits so there is a small amount of bran residue left in the bath which rinses away. Because of the natural saponins which are the cleansing plant soaps in oatmeal the bath may be slippery so it is important to be careful when you get in and out of the bath . You can make a paste with the moistened oatmeal which is very good for dry or itchy patches of skin. Simply put it on the skin for up to about twenty minutes and rinse off with warm water. This is also very good for mild sunburn. Always do a patch test before using new products. Because of the bran content you can make an exfoliating face mask with it, there are many options for this online, using different ingredients including yogurt, banana etc if you enjoy making your own diy cosmetics.
