Medical Terminology for Health Care
I used the book for my Medical Terminology course. I find it very helpful with lots of exercises and tests.

Comprehensive
I'm using it to teach Audio Transcription. So although it is primarily for people engaged in or about to join the medical profession, it provides useful material for others. Also it is in English for Britain and Ireland, which is great. Very happy with purchase.

So useful and informative for a layperson!
I love this book! I only studied Biology to GCSE level but now after my BA degree I am looking to become a medical translator - this book has been perfect for giving me an overview of anatomy and pathology whilst teaching me all the terminology :)

Really pleased with the purchase
I personally found it to be a very good book for self-teaching medical terminology. Lots of exercises and pictures, well-explained terms, an answer key, and a decent price!

Can be confusing
I find this book very confusing to be honest. We have American and English terminology and the very first example is an american spelling of gastrotomy rather than the English version gastrostomy. I have City & Guild paperwork saying word root 'gastro' with the suffix 'otomy' but the book breaks it down into 3 bits and says says word root 'gastr', combining vowel 'o' and suffix 'tomy' and I've only opened the book at the Introduction!
