Dwarf hamster
Perfect for my robo dwarf hamster. Would be too small for a syrian hamster

Great as a cage accessory (tall cage) or a free ranging toy for a dwarf hamster or mouse.
This is a lovely natural wood toy with a removable clear plastic front for easy cleaning (although bear in mind it will stink eventually as the wee soaks into the wood). It is quite tall so if you want to use it inside the cage you will need to measure carefully as it was just slightly too tall for use in my son's hamster cage.

Hamster adventure
Bought this as an extra play area for my russian dwarf hamster. He's a bit of a chunk, so he did find it a bit of squeeze getting through some of the holes, and also getting from behind the stairs, but he manages alright, and its definitely enriching for him to use.Good to hide treats in for him to find, and also different toys or smells for him in each compartment. Not sure of the purpose of the top hole, but its bigger than the one at the bottom, which is just on the small side for attaching any sort of hamster tube to it, such as Ferplast.Well made, though a couple of sharp bits were easily removed or filed down before use. Fun to watch him investigate, and the plastic screen is easy to remove to allow cleaning.

Novelty product
Cute but not so practical. My plastic screen had a small crack on arrival.

Fun
Perfect size for roborovski hamsters, well built and fun to watch them in it esp if you put treats in it.Only down side is the hole in the top which ive had to try and block becuse they would hurt themselves droping from that hight. But overall a fun product, well worth its money.

Not Suitable for Syrian Hamsters
I was surprised by how small this is - dimensions given and all but, this is really too small for a Syrian hamster. We removed the steps (not a straight-forward task) as there was no way she was going to comfortably get past those, if at all. But, still, the spaces and the holes are only just big enough and even with food placed around it is no fun for our hamster. She's an average size, not overweight. May be ok for Dwarf hamsters.

Nice idea, but not a great result.
Poor quality with very dangerous staples holding parts together.I removed the steps from the two sections because they make it ridiculously tight for my Syrian, but although he can manage through the holes (which are easily enough enlarged) he really doesn't seem very interested in it. Of course I did wake him up to introduce him to it, so I'll see if he's more interested in the late evening when he 'comes alive'.I did just remove the plastic screen because I could tell he didn't like it, and once removed he was more comfortable climbing through it. My hamster is actually the most unbelievable climber, hence the name I gave him is Ueli after Ueli Steck (Google him if you've never heard of him) so I think he'll probably climb all over it rather than go through the holes. He has already climbed all the way up one end and then descended down the front, hind legs braced between the two upright inner walls as he lowered himself.I do think that none of these manufacturers have any idea how large Syrian hamsters can be however, and design their products with a house mouse in mind, which, for anyone who has had them invade their home will know, if they can get their head through a space the width of a standard pencil, they'll get their body through too.

Looks good quality but
If you have the time to sand this down, I am sure it will be good fine for your hamster. sadly mine, didn't have all the holes that should have been in it though and as a female pensioner I didn't fancy trying to cut out the holes. Also, I did ask to cancel it, a few hours after I ordered it, but they seller sent it anyway.
