Hercules PA9000-31L Oval Casserole Dutch Oven 6 qts Cast Aluminum with Induction Stove Plate

Cast aluminum is much lighter than cast iron and this Dutch Oven weighs a fraction of my other Dutch Ovens. I would purchase it again for just this reason. I bake sourdough so I fire this up to 500 F every day of the week and it can take the heat. Arrived when promised and is worth the money.

I wanted to find a dutch oven that is lighter than cast iron...I found this one and had to try it ! It's Huge but perfect for cooking dinners with the intentions of freezing leftovers or for large families !So much lighter, holds the heat and cooks evenly !I made stuffed peppers, turned out Perfectly ! And I could, actually, pick up the dutch oven when full !The lid fits Perfectly, Easy lift knob with a pot holder on...Cast Aluminum is now my go to material for buying Dutch Ovens and Casseroles !

Cor fish! With potatos, tomatos, onions, olive oil, olives! Perfect!

This pot has casting nubs on the lid. They prevent the pot from sealing completely. I wanted this pot for baking bread, but this does not work well for that.
