Some report that it buckledI say if you drive a car at 90 mph into a brick wall it will also buckle but if you use it as it was intended it will last for years

It does the job, but not heavy enough gauge steel for the pressure it has to apply, see photo, the pressure plate is distorting after 3 presses. Besides that, don’t be put off by all the people saying the brickettes take too long to dry - of course they do, what did you expect?

The structure is a little weak - one of the struts bent on first use.Nevertheless it is a good idea and given the current economic climate a good source of fuel for the winter.

You did to press very hard to make good strong bricks

Bought to try to make peat briquettes out of horse manure...well rotted, of course! Only problem is can't dry out quick enough..no fault of the maker itself. Would definitely buy again

Very rickety. I made 35 briquettes before it broke. The seller refused a refund because it was more than 30 days (in fact it was only 41). Dodgy.
