Caladiums are popular because of their attractive, long-lasting foliage. They grow well in full to partial shade. they are also superior indoor plants, excellent in the garden and superb for the water garden. Caladium can be grown in any region as an indoor plant, but take care to only start outdoors once nighttime temperatures are high 60's and above. Fancy leaf caladiums are perfect for those heavily shaded areas of your yard and their bright colors and broad leaves offer a perfect complement to ferns and hostas. If you must plant them in an area of direct sun, make sure it’s the gentle morning kind. Keep them well watered and fertilized and they will reward you with a colorful tropical treat. They can be grown indoors in pots.
