This Spears 806 Series Schedule 80 PVC Elbow Fitting has a socket opening on both ends and is suitable for connecting two threaded pipes at a 90 degree angle to change the direction of flow between pipes. The socket end connects to the pipe with a smooth bore for enhanced flow. This elbow fitting or "EL" is made of grey PVC (PVC) for chemical and corrosion resistance, high strength and lighter than metal fittings. Compatible with Schedule 80 (thick wall) PVC pipe and fittings, suitable for chemical processing, industrial plating, cold water distribution, deionized water pipes, chemical drainage and drain treatment systems. PVC can be connected to other materials such as steel, copper, cast iron using transition fittings. These fittings are rated at a maximum working temperature of 140°F, meeting ASTM International D1784 and D2467 quality assurance standards and are certified by National Sanitation Foundation International (NSF) for drinking water service.
