Q: Is there a warranty, what is it?

I'm sure there is. I use it for measuring brake rotors without having to remove the wheel. I work on Ford cutaways buses. When the vehicle is in the air I can measure the rotors from the back side with out removing the wheel. The caliper sticks out enough so I can measure the pad thickness also. This may not work on all vehicles, but gives me a faster reading than the old dial micrometer. Low profile make easier to measure between backing plate gap. You can switch between metric and English with a push of a button. I like mine a lot.
